Due to overwhelming demadn the Rotary Club of New Milford, in partnership with FileShred, LLC, will host its 14th annual ‘Spring Cleanup’ Document Shredding Day Second Chance Event on Saturday, June 27 at Pettibone Community Center, 2 Pickett District Rd, New Milford from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. This is the perfect opportunity for individuals and businesses to clear out their home, office, basement, attic and closets by having their confidential documents shredded by FileShred’s massive mobile shredding truck. Bring boxes of documents, old papers, pay stubs, receipts, bank statements, invoices, cancelled checks, tax forms, medical records, credit card statements, old bills, etc.

No need to remove staples or paperclips. Drive up... Your items willl be removed safely by staff adhering to Covid-19 Safety Measures.

. It’s that easy! Protect your identity, protect the earth and save money! Open to all towns. No appointment is necessary.

ATTENTION BUSINESSES: SAVE MONEY! There is no limit to the number of boxes you can bring to be shredded! Assistance will be available to help unload boxes. Staff from the shredding company will handle the documents and will shred them securely while you watch. The mobile on-site document destruction process is efficient and quick. What could take many hours to shred at home can be shred on-site in minutes. The shredded material will then be recycled into other paper products.

Since this event's inception in 2007, the New Milford Rotary Club has shredded approximately 150,000 pounds of documents. This prevented over 75 tons of paper from being added to the landfill and 1300 trees from being cut down.

The cost is $10.00 per standard copy paper-type box (larger boxes slightly higher). All money collected at the event will be donated to local Coronavirus Relief Efforts including the New Milford Food Bank and Rotary's Mask Giveway by the New Milford Rotary Foundation
